Information I collect
Information you give me directly: Name, email address, and phone number Wedding date, venue or location, and budget range Details about your event that you choose to share Mailing address and payment information when you order prints or products I collect this when you fill out my contact form, submit an inquiry form on Facebook or Instagram, email me, or place an order through my site. Information collected automatically: Pages you visit on my site and how long you spend there Your general location, browser, and device type How you arrived at my site This comes from cookies and similar technologies used by Squarespace, which hosts my website, and by Meta, which serves my ads.
Facebook and Instagram advertising
I run ads on Facebook and Instagram. Two things you should know: Lead forms. If you fill out an inquiry form directly inside Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes your name, email, phone number, and your answers to my questions to me. I use that information only to respond to your inquiry and follow up about photography services. I do not sell it or share it with anyone outside the service providers listed below. The Meta pixel. My website uses a tracking pixel from Meta. It tells me how my ads perform and lets me show ads to people who have visited my site. You can control how Meta uses your information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
How I use your information
To respond to your inquiry and answer questions To send pricing, availability, and my booking guide To provide photography services if you book with me To process and ship print or product orders To send occasional updates about my work, if you have asked to receive them To understand how my website and ads are performing I do not sell your personal information. I do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Who I share information with
I use a small number of service providers to run my business. They can access your information only to do work on my behalf: HoneyBook for client management, contracts, invoices, and communication Squarespace for website hosting and print orders Meta for advertising and lead forms Payment processors for handling transactions I may also disclose information if required by law. -
How long I keep it
I keep inquiry information for as long as it's useful for following up, generally up to two years if you don't book. Client records, contracts, and image files are kept longer for business, tax, and archival reasons. You can ask me to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can: Ask what information I have about you Ask me to correct or delete it Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message Turn off cookies in your browser settings, though parts of my site may not work as well Email brooks@brookswittaphoto.com and I'll take care of it.
Children
My services and website are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided me information, email me and I'll delete it.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using established platforms with their own security practices. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If I update this policy, I'll change the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be noted on this page.
